Dear SACS Families,

After receiving approval at tonight’s School Board Meeting, I am both humbled and honored to introduce myself as Superintendent of Southwest Allen County Schools, effective July 1, 2025. Having spent 26 years in education—17 of them right here in SACS—I know firsthand that this district is built on the dedication, talent, and unwavering commitment of our staff, families, and community. Together, we share a common purpose: ensuring the success and well-being of every student.

Throughout my career, my greatest fulfillment has come from watching students grow—not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well. Education is most impactful when strong partnerships exist between schools, families, and the community, and that collaborative spirit is what I will continue to foster as your superintendent. My leadership is rooted in relationships, understanding the unique needs of each student, and ensuring we remain focused on one central goal: providing the best possible education for every child.

At SACS, keeping "the main thing the main thing" means placing students at the heart of every decision we make. Whether it’s creating engaging and nurturing learning environments or equipping our staff with the tools they need to succeed, every effort will be guided by our shared commitment to student success.

In the months ahead, my priority is to listen and learn. I look forward to engaging with staff, students, families, and the broader community—hearing your perspectives, celebrating what’s working well, and identifying opportunities for growth. The best leadership begins with listening, and I am eager to collaborate with all of you to build on the strong foundation that makes SACS exceptional.

I am excited for the journey ahead and look forward to all that we will accomplish together,

Dr. Joshua St. John, Assistant Superintendent
Southwest Allen County Schools
